Fishing license in the Drammen River

 

Fishing is divided into zones, and we sell the following fishing licenses per zone:

 

Zone Blue:

  • Day pass NOK 450 (NOK 250 for juniors)

  • Fishing permits in the Blue Zone are valid for the Hellefossen area and down to Hokksund Bridge, with the exception of the Red Zone and the Cultivation Zone. In the Fly Zone, only fly fishing is allowed, and in the Boat Zone, you can use a boat.

  • 12-hour card NOK NOK 300 (NOK 150 for juniors)

 

Zone Red:

  • 24-hour pass NOK 450,-

  • 12-hour card NOK NOK 300 (NOK 150 for juniors)

 

Zone Yellow:

  • Day pass NOK 300 (NOK 150 for juniors)

  • Season ticket NOK 2480,- (1240,- for junior)

 

The cultivation zone:

  • 24-hour pass NOK 450,-

  • Company card NOK 2700. The company card itself costs NOK 900, but for the card to be valid you must also purchase 4 (all) 24-hour cards for the cultivation zone that day. Read more about the company card here.

 

Green zone:

  • 24-hour pass NOK 150,-

  • Season ticket NOK 700,-

 

Boat fishing in the Drammen River:

Boat fishing is permitted in the Drammenselva River, in zones Green and Yellow. Buy an ordinary 24-hour permit, and choose whether you fish from land or a boat.

Required disinfection of fishing equipment

The Drammenselva River is infected with the salmon parasite Gyrodactylus salaris. Disinfection of equipment and any boat used during fishing MUST BE CARRIED OUT before leaving the Drammenselva River.

In Drammenselva we have three disinfection stations. All are self-service.

Elvehuset: Address Dynge 77 3303 HOKKSUND. There are no official opening hours here, but there are often people from the association here both during the day and in the evening who can help with disinfection if needed.

Hoenselva: Address Hellefossveien 57, 3300 Hokksund (by the bridge over the Hoenselva)

Hokksund Camping: Stryken 73 3303 Hokksund (the booth right after the gate to the campsite)

1. Fishing is only permitted during the period and zone specified on the fishing license. The fishing license is personal and cannot be transferred to others. Show respect for nature and clean up after yourself. Leave the fishing spot and area tidy.

2. It is prohibited to fish in such a way that the fish is likely to be hooked.

3. It is mandatory to wear a life jacket (your own) when using boats belonging to ØJFF.

4. The fishing license is valid for 1 rod with the following exceptions: In the yellow and green zones, you can troll with up to three rods if you are alone in the boat. If there are more people in the boat, there is 1 rod per fisherman who has a valid fishing license. Downrigging is not permitted.

5. All catches of salmon and trout must be registered in the catch form online or by SMS to the specified phone number. In addition, shell samples must be taken (submitted continuously) from each salmon and trout.

6. This is mobile/rolling fishing. When there are fishermen on site, fishing should be started upstream of them. Consideration should be shown to other fishermen.

7. Lures, spinners, wobblers, worms, tube flies, flies and shrimp are permitted with the following restrictions:

*Lures, spinners and shrimp: 1 treble hook, maximum hook opening 13 mm.

*Wobbel ifb w/trolling: Up to 3 treble hooks, can be combined with sinkers.

*Casting wobbler: Up to 3 treble hooks, maximum hook opening 10 mm.

*Fly/tube fly, in combination with sinker: Up to 1 treble hook, maximum hook opening 7.5 mm.

*Fly / worm / shrimp in combination with a sinker has the following restrictions: The tendon of the sinker must be thinner than the main tendon or tie a knot on the lead. The lead of the bait can be up to 300 cm long and the lead of the sinker must be at least 30 cm long.

8. *Floating floats are not permitted on the following sections: Blue east: From the Skretteberg stream and down to Risøra downstream of Bølga. Blue west: From the bottom of Støyten and down to Dynamitten. NB! sinking float = sinker.

9. It is only permitted to use multifilament line on the REEL, with a minimum of 50cm of monofilament lead. This is only permitted when using SLUK, SPINNER and WOBBLER. Max weight 34gr.

10. Boats used for transport to fishing grounds upstream of Risøra must be wooden boats of the traditional river boat type.

11. Boat fishing in the blue zone is permitted in the marked area and anchored, but only if it does not hinder fishing from shore.

12. Trolling is only permitted in the Yellow Zone.

Fishing from land is permitted in the Yellow Zone, but land fishing must give way to boat fishing.

3. In designated fly fishing zones, only fly fishing is permitted.

14. Fishing is not permitted on Vaøra.

15. Disinfection of equipment, waders and any boat used during fishing MUST BE CARRIED OUT before leaving the Drammenselva River.

6. Violation of the above rules may result in the confiscation of fishing licenses, as well as the right to be issued new fishing licenses downstream of Hellefoss.
